What is ICFE?
- The International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) assesses language skills in a financial context
- The ICFE is set at levels B2 and C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and equivalent in level to the FCE and CAE
- ICFE is produced and assessed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, in collaboration with ACCA - the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
This certificate can be used as proof of the ability in English necessary to work in an international finance context or to follow an accountancy or finance course at degree level.
Who is ICFE for?
- The exam for those who already have a good working knowledge of English and want to develop their English skills to work in accountancy or finance
- ICFE is suitable for students of finance and accounting and practising accountants and finance professionalsSuccessful candidates are able to use the language in practical situations, to participate in meetings, negotiations, and discussions of a legal nature, express opinions clearly are able to understand and produce texts such as legal correspondence and memoranda
